RACHA Launches CHOBA Project in Pursat

On June 5, 6, and 7th, RACHA launched the initial implementation phase of CHOBA in three communes, Svay Doun Kaev, Rumlech, and Khnar Totueng in Bakan, Pursat Province. CHOBA, (Community Health Output-Based Aid), is a community-based project aimed to increase the sanitation coverage in communities by specifically mobilizing the most poor and vulnerable. In partnership with East Meets West, RACHA is working to address a fundamental health disparity in Cambodia.

Government of Japan to Fund Water Filtration Station in Banteay Mean Chey

On March 21, 2013, RACHA's Executive Director, Chan Theary, and the Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia, His Excellency Kumamaru Yuji, approved a grant contract for 100,745 USD. The grant, part of the Japanese Embassy's KUSANONE (Japan's Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots and Human Security Projects) Project, is funding RACHA in the installation of a Water Filtration System in Thmor Pouk District, Banteay Mean Chey Province to provide access to safe drinking water. Through KUSANONE, the Japanese people are able to provide support for the improvement of health in Cambodia.
