The Reproductive and Child Health Alliance (RACHA) is a Cambodia based Non-Governmental Organization founded in 2003, which focuses on community health programming that improves the quality and utilization of local public health service provision. RACHA is highly regarded as an emergent authority on localized approaches to reproductive and child health issues and is well-respected by the Royal Cambodian Government, donors, international and local partners. RACHA also works closely with international technical partners to field test innovations in state-of-the-art methods to address persistent challenges such as postpartum hemorrhage, micronutrient deficiencies, and access to health services by the rural poor.

Position : Intern
Duty Station : Phnom Penh
Reporting to : Executive Director
The Communication and Marketing Intern is responsible for all internal and external communication to strengthen RACHA's profile on the domestic and international fronts. The Intern is responsible for increasing the impact of RACHA's services and projects through managing all communications aspects of RACHA's work including management of innovative social media tools, consistent use of the communications strategy, and maintenance of frequent and consistent communication across all mediums, particularly RACHAs website and social media pages. The Intern will be trained by the current Communications Officer. This is a part time paid position.
-Implement the communication strategy to ensure a uniform organizational profile across all programs, units, and field offices.
-Develop and maintain active web content and social media presence via routine updates, posts, and newsletters.
-Use journalistic and photojournalistic methods to gain recognition, understanding, and compassion for RACHA's work, both within the public health community and the general public.
-Review and provide technical input to all internal and external communications materials to ensure accuracy of information, quality of messaging and compliance RACHA branding requirements
-Collect or assure the collection of beneficiary stories and program updates from the projects for update on all communication outlets.
-Develop campaigns and events to promote RACHAs services utilizing a range of mediums including community events, social media, SMS technology, radio and TV.
-Developing and managing regular internal communication channels such as newsletters and/or bulletins to keep staff informed of useful and important information
-Develop and coordinate dissemination of digital materials and interactive media assets, including curating blogs, videos, photos, impact stories, supporting collection of videos from the field, managing user-generated content for website, dissemination of videos, stories and photos.
-Maintain internal organization of all communications materials, including stories, news items, photographs, and handbooks.
-1-2 years of experience with communication in across all media platforms
-1-2 years of experience working with digital marketing and communications preferred.
-BA in Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, Marketing, or other relevant degree.
-Excellent writing skills to produce engaging impact stories to further widen domestic and international support.
-Excellent English skills
-Understanding of web content production, assets that contribute to engaging web experience and how to use content and copy to unify the experience (visuals, written content, headlines, text links, captions, etc.)
-Experience in using social media for campaign advocacy and community mobilization preferred.
-Work experience with an International NGO desirable
-Knowledge and experience in public health, specifically reproductive health and family planning desirable
-Highly organized with swift ability to adapt and reorganize
