RACHA is a local NGO primarily funded by USAID to implement broad-based community Maternal and Child Health program in Cambodia for FY 2009-2013. It is currently seeking qualified Cambodian national for the positions of Deputy Executive Director for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (DED-MNCH) and Deputy Executive Directors for Community Health Mobilization (DED-CHM).

POSITION: DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH MOBILIZATION (1 Position)
CONTRACT TYPE: FIXED TERM
DUTY STATION: PHNOM PENH HEAD OFFICE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide leadership and coordination, both technically and programmatically, to team leaders of the following technical and support units: Health Communications; Community Health Financing; Infectious diseases, TB, STI/HIV/AIDS, and Community Health Development.
  • Liaise and develop a productive and harmonious working relationship with RACHA partners, MoH agencies, NGOs and donors;
  • Motivate and support team members to ensure high professional standards of performance, commitment and achievement;
  • Shall be responsible for development of effective strategy for BCC practices and for water and sanitation projects;Disseminate findings and promote upward advocacy for improvement of health systems.
  • Coordinate with other DEDs and technical advisers across functions to enable synergy and organizational efficiency in program activities;
QUALIFICATIONS FACTORS:
  • Advanced university degree. MA, MD with Masters in Public Health preferred;
  • At least 5 years experience in overall management of both technical and managerial areas or CHM related programs;
  • Knowledge of MoH policies and national health program particularly on Infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS and health financing;
  • Good organizational skills and ability to handle major tasks with donors and other stakeholders;
  • Experience in work plan development, implementation and documentation;
  • Fluent in English and Khmer languages, both spoken and written;
  • Computer literacy and presentation skills;
