RACHA, Reproductive and Child Health Alliance a local NGO primarily financed by USAID, RACHA’s vision is working to be a leading and dynamic Local NGO which advances the health of the Cambodian people through sustainable, relevant, and responsive broad-based health programs in line with Ministry of Health (MoH) policies and donors’ strategies. . It is currently seeking for a qualified Cambodian national for the following positions that are now available. All positions are based in Prey Veng Province: |

| POSITION: | CHILD HEALTH OFFICER (4 Positions) |

| DUTY STATION: | Prey Veng |
| ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: | |
• Support to the bi-annual Vitamin A distribution; • Support the National guideline on Breastfeeding and yearly WBW; • Work with OD staff in FU/supervision and improvement of health care services provided by health centre staff for five key child health problems - IMCI (CDD, ARI, malaria, dengue and malnourishment); • Correct home care for sick children training for village shopkeepers who sale harmful drugs to mothers of sick children; • Improvement of family and community behaviour change and practices – C-IMCI (CDD, ARI, BF, Dengue, Nutrition, Hygiene/sanitation ...) • Work closely with OD, HC to improve nutrition in the community such as IDA, IDD, VAC, Fortified food, food; • Coordinate RACHA’s activities with other NGOs such as WFP ( food for MCH) working in the focus OD who are also supporting child health activities; • Support Health Center staff in training and implementing the National Guideline of MPA; • Assist the Provincial Coordinator in collecting and combining the field data implementing in the focus areas. |

| QUALIFICATIONS FACTORS: | |
• Medical background (MA, or its equivalent is preferred); • At least 2 years of prior work experience in planning and implementation of child health activities; • Ability to work with government officials and NGO staff; • Willing to travel mostly by motorcycle in the field; • Experience in training, activity follow up, monitoring, data collection; • Flexibility and tolerance and good interpersonal communication skills; • Minimum of two years of clinical practice; • Computer literacy - word-processing, spread sheet software; • Fluency in English and Khmer, both written and spoken. |
