RACHA is a local NGO primarily funded by USAID to implement broad-based community Maternal and Child Health program in Cambodia for FY 2009-2013. It is currently seeking a qualified Cambodian national for the following positions

POSITION: HEALTH COMMUNICATION OFFICER (1 Position)
CONTRACT TYPE: FIXED TERM
DUTY STATION: Mongkol Borey OD (BMC)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide technical input into all aspects of BCC activity, Comedy for Health program and materials development;

• Strengthen links with the Maternal and Child Health (MCH), relevant Ministry of Health staff in each of RACHA’s focus provinces, and partners;

• Facilitate training and provide on-the-job support to provincial MCH and Provincial Health Promotion Unit staff in RACHA-focus provinces, and partners;

• Assist the HC Team Leader with the monitoring and follow-up of ongoing IEC activities and in planning and implementing new activities as needed;

• Conduct and facilitate communication s training where required;

• Participate in, and represent RACHA at local and national-level initiatives on IEC.

QUALIFICATIONS FACTORS:

• Medical background, (Secondary nurse or its equivalent );

• A minimum of two years experience in implementing BCC activities and IEC materials production;

• Graduate or other advanced degree in a health, or related profession;

• Familiarity with word-processing and graphics computer programmes;

• Willing to travel mostly by motorcycle in the field;

• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills;

• English language competency, both written and spoken;
