RACHA is a local NGO primarily funded by USAID to implement broad-based community Maternal and Child Health program in Cambodia for FY 2009-2013. It is currently seeking a qualified Cambodian national for the following positions

POSITION: SAFE MOTHERHOOD/ BIRTH SPACING OFFICER (3 Positions)
CONTRACT TYPE: FIXED TERM
DUTY STATION: 1 position based in Smach Meanchey OD (Koh Kong)
1 position based in Preah Net Preah OD (BMC)
1 position based in Ochrov OD (BMC)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the design of RACHA supported MCH community activities; Conduct TBA training courses;

• Undertake regular follow up visits to LSS trained midwives, TBA trained and health promotion activities;

• Foster links between TBAs, HCs midwives and village communities;

• Facilitator OD, AD, health center, and community action for improvement of maternal and Child health at village level;

• Assist in the field implementation of the SIS system; Continuously assess activities and arrange technical support (as and when necessary);

• Maintain a good relationship and communication with MOH staff, partner(s) and community;

• Collect information/reports from partner (s) and prepare a monthly activity report.

QUALIFICATIONS FACTORS:

• Medical background (MA or MW, or its equivalent is preferred);

• At least 3 years experience in SM/BS activities;

• Good communication skills and interpersonal;

• A working knowledge of English;

• Computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Presentation;

• Be able to travel extensively in the field.
