Summary: The Reproductive and Child Health Alliance (RACHA) in collaboration with the Institute de Recherche pour le Dévelopement (IRD) funded by GIZ is conducting a KEF study on “Impact of climate change on migration, nutrition and health of mothers and children in Cambodia”. This study aims to examine the impact of climate change on migration patterns in Cambodia with particular attention to how migration affects the health and nutritional status of children who are separated from their parents. RACHA is seeking for dedicated, hardworking, innovative and committed professionals with requisite skills and knowledge in the field of Monitoring, Evaluation, & Learning for Innovative for collecting data as above-mentioned study in 2 Sangkats of Phnom Penh municipality and in Pearieang District of Prey Veng Province for the following position:
Job Title : Data Collector/Enumerator
Unit : Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
Working Area : Phnom Penh Municipality and Prey Veng Province
Report To : Project Director and Field officer
The data collectors will work under the supervision of Principal Investigator and the RACHA M&E Team acting as field supervisors during the data collection period in February, 2026.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of data collector are as follows:
- Attend a 5 day-training and field testing of the questionnaires in January prior to field activity in February, 2026;
- Interview migrant couples and left behind caregivers to collect clear information follow the questionnaires,
- Using tablets to encode data and ensure correctly and legibly,
- Verify questionnaires to ensure all relevant questions are asked,
- Re-interview or confirm with respondent as requested by Field Supervisor,
- Attend daily feedback meetings with the team,
- Provide feedback on any issues and make recommendations as needed.
Qualifications:
- At least 4th year of university or post graduate is preferred,
- Experience working or studying in the health area is preferred but not essential,
- Knowledge of Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition is preferred,
- Experience in conducting interviews with people in the community,
- Experience in conducting qualitative data collection,
- Friendly, confident personality and good inter-personal skills,
- Experience working as a team member,
- Be flexible in working in weekend and/or in evening time
- Be able to travel by motorbike to remote areas.
Language: Khmer and English.
