Announcement Description
In with agreement the Multi-country Midwifery Initiative (MMI) project within the Global Academy of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) of Lund University in Sweden, RACHA is seeking the influencers to apply to the training program which will run from March to October 2022 and will prepare the participants to actively take part in strengthening the role of the midwife in all health care settings. Applicants must be secondary midwives with at least 5 years post-entry work experience and who will join an exciting online multi-country training program from Lund University Sweden. Bid Components
The programme will cover the following areas
- Role of the midwife and scope of midwifery
- Good practices in Midwifery
- Variations in clinical settings
- Context analysis
- Advocacy and agenda-setting
- Leadership and management
- Meeting resistance
- Policy and policy Analysis.
The programme actively works with these topics through the use of blended learning and digital skills. Each participant will be provided with tools to facilitate their learning process, including an online learning platform, for the duration of the program. The training will be provided by a panel of international experts supported by local lecturers and two Country Coordinators.
Initial training will be in March April. Then, from April to October, participants will work as a group to conduct a series activities to map the current situation in their home countries and develop and implement an action plan to influence the continued development of the role of midwifery in Cambodia. Coaching and mentoring will be provided by the Country Coordinators for Cambodia, Ms. CHHIN Soknay at NMCHC Ms. CHAN Theary at RACHA. In October action plan will be evaluated, both in terms of conceptualization and implementation.
To apply for the program you must:
- be a registered secondary midwife with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- a bachelor's degree or equivalent
- know how to use a computer and with reliable internet access
- be competent in written and spoken English
- be willing and able to make a commitment to full participation in all phases of the program every month from March to October 2022
- be prepared to take responsibility for his/her learning as part of a peer group
