JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

RACHA-JA-040-07/24-PE&D-IECD

The Reproductive and Child Health Alliance (RACHA) funded by the Planète Enfants & Développement (PE&D) under the JSDF Grant No. TF0B2469 will be hosting its project activity -namely the Investing Early Childhood Development (IECD) which will be implemented at the Community- Based Childcare Centers  (CBCC) for garment factory workers, and the Health Facilities within the catchment areas of the CBCC based in Kampong Speu and  Kampong Cham provinces. RACHA offering excellent employment opportunities for dedicated, hardworking, innovative and committed professionals with requisite skills and knowledge in capacity building, training on health, nutrition- sensitive hygiene, food safety, first aid,  risks of exposure to screens and gender-neutral education  to CBCC caregivers, cooks, women in reproductive age, pregnant and lactating women, their husbands and health care providers. RACHA in Cambodia is seeking for the qualified candidates to fill in the below position:

Job Title:         Project Coordinator (1 position)

Duty Station:   Head Quarter Office, Phnom Penh

Report to:       Executive Director

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Project management and supervision

  • Ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of the IECD Project package of activities at CBCC and Health Centers;
  • Lead and supervise the implementation of activity plans with project team;
  • Work with PE&D team to develop a setting up working group  with clear action plan on capacity building activities for target groups in targeted areas and create awareness campaign strategy on the risks of screens and gender-neutral education;
  • Coaching health center professionals to enhance parenting support experiment which will be piloted in11 health centers regularly visited by parents with their young children;
  • Attend in the meetings with donors and partners, ensuring all stakeholders are updated with relevant information about the project;
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships between PE&D and various potential donors.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Lead on monitoring and evaluation at the Health Centre and CBCC to ensure the enrolled children in the 13 crèches/CBCCs receive the monthly check-up on health, nutrition and growth monitoring promotion and receive vaccination;
  • Quarterly gathering of qualitative and quantitative data to inform reporting on output, outcome levels;
  • Lead the team to monitor the project activities and reporting.

Budget management

      - Financial follow-up of the project with the finance manager (planning and control of the expenses);Work with PE&D finance

      - manager to ensure compliance with donor policy and requirements.

Qualifications

The candidates for the IECD PC position should have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education, Infants Health or Community Development;

2. 5 years of experience within project development, with operations and fieldwork responsibilities;

3. Strong interest in Child Development/Early Childhood Education;

4. Good interpersonal skills, commitment and rigor;

5. Computer literacy: Word, Excel, PowerPoint;

6. Languages: Khmer, English would be an asset.
